Our Boer venture started with the Walker children wanting to do meat goat projects for the county fair. Now that the children are all adults, we continue to raise Boers for our own meat supply and to sell whenever we have extras. Our Boers are Boer-dairy goat crosses, meaning mostly Boer with a little Diary goat (Alpine, Nubian, or Oberhasli) bred in to assist in faster growth of the kids for market.
